Dora and Josephine joined Global Mamas in June 2006.  The sisters are from Cape Coast where Dora, the older of the two, has supported her entire family for years.  For example, Dora paid for both her brother and her sister, Josephine, to attend school, and has now taught Josephine the craft.  Dora has been batiking for institutions such as hotels and schools, but the work is only seasonal and payment is often on credit.  After struggling to maintain her business but depleting her savings, Dora decided to join Global Mamas.  Dora and Josephine have nearly doubled their revenue since working with Global Mamas and achieved most their goals. Next on the list is to rent a store to have as showroom for Dora's private work and build a family house so they don't have to rent anymore. "My happiness is my job because the more I'm working, the more I'm earning...and I like my money!"
