By November 2008, Anastasia Larvie had already been with Trashy Bags for 2 years. She couldn’t be happier working for the organization because she loves how her work is helping Ghana; plus, she is a big fan of the products. Growing up for Anastasia was difficult since she once had 7 siblings, but now only has 4. After living with her mother in Anloga, Ghana until she was 14, she moved to Accra to live with her father. She spent her childhood selling kaklo with her mother, so her father was determined to have her attend school when she came to live with him, which she did. In 2006, she completed her vocational school training as a seamstress. Married and with a baby on the way, Anastasia works as much as possible to support her family, and tries to save enough to go see her mother in Anloga as often as she can, which is a long and expensive trip. She feels very lucky that she received the opportunity to work with Trashy Bags and has high hopes for its growth.
